With the passage of Amendment 20 in 2000, the State of Colorado allows patients diagnosed with specific diseases and those undergoing treatment for certain conditions, defined as having a debilitating medical condition, access to Medical Marijuana.
Diseases: Cancer, Glaucoma, HIV
Conditions: Cachexia, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, including those that are characteristic of epilepsy, persistent muscle spasms, including those that are characteristic of multiple sclerosis
Some diseases that can cause qualifying conditions include:Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, PTSD, Insomnia and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
